Regathering myself.
This week has been intense. My Grandfather's funeral was on Saturday. The entire weekend was filled with much emotion, lots of family, and togetherness. Family came from California, Washington, and New Jersey to mourn the loss of my Grandpa. The family viewing Friday afternoon was the toughest point for me. It forced me to face the reality that Grandpa is no longer on earth. The viewing Friday evening was difficult, but this pain was eased by friends. It was like a big breath of fresh air seeing them and means more than I could everexplain that they planned the trip to see my famly and me.
The funeral service was nice. I wrote the eulogy and read it with my cousin. I was thinking of posting the eulogy, but decided because of it being so personal, I would not. However, I have a copy that I'd be happy to share.
As my Grandpa would want, now is the time to regather our lives, and slowly but surely move on. I will always miss my Grandpa, and his memory will live on forever.
